Owned by the people who do the work
Dare is employee-owned through an Employee Ownership Trust. Everyone here has a genuine stake in the business — which means the people advising, deploying and supporting your Apple fleet are personally invested in getting it right.

Our story
From a bold idea to employee-owned
Dare was founded in 2020 by Andy and Michael, who bring decades of experience in Apple technology and enterprise support. It was built with a clear vision — to be an Apple-only organisation, dedicated to supporting businesses that rely on Apple technology.
From the outset, Dare became a Jamf Partner and part of the Apple Consultants Network, rapidly expanding its client base across the UK, USA, Nordics and Europe. In 2024 we took the next step and became employee-owned — protecting that focus for the long run.
Why we did it
A company worth owning
Dare was built on doing Apple IT properly, for the long haul. Moving to employee ownership protects that. It keeps the business independent, keeps decisions in the hands of the people who understand the work, and rewards the team who make it happen — rather than setting the company up to be sold to the highest bidder.
For clients, the effect is simple: you work with people who are here because they choose to be, who benefit directly when the work goes well, and who are not going anywhere. That is a different kind of partner to have looking after your Apple estate.
This isn’t just a business decision — it’s about building a lasting legacy where everyone at Dare can thrive in our future growth. Michael and I are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and we’re thrilled to take this next step together as a collective trust. Onwards and upwards.

What it changes
Better for the business — and for our clients
When the people doing the work also own the company, there is no gap between what is good for a client and what is good for the business. The same interests point the same way.
Ownership is a powerful reason to stay. That means the specialist who scoped your project is likely still the one you call two years later — continuity you rarely get from a growth-at-all-costs consultancy.
No outside investors pushing for a quick exit. We can make decisions that are right over years, not just the next quarter — including saying no to work that would not serve you well.
For our team
What it means for the people here
Everyone shares in the success they help create — not through a token scheme, but as beneficial owners of the business through the trust.
Employee ownership comes with employee say. How we work, what we take on and where we invest are shaped by the people who do the job, not dictated from the top.
Under EOT rules, an employee-owned business can pay eligible staff an annual profit-share bonus free of income tax — a tangible share of what we build together.
