Worked examples

How could you benefit from our Consultancy service?

The hours are yours — we shape them around whatever moves you forward. Below are some examples of how you might benefit from some time with us. See how it’s played out for other IT teams in our customer stories.

Dare consultants working alongside a client's IT team

Platform SSO Rollout

The latest in native macOS IdP authentication

macOS sign-in matched to your identity provider — Entra, Okta or Google — with registration and recovery flows planned, piloted and rolled out fleet-wide.

Onboarding Process Refresh

New User Setup feeling a bit stale?

We can help bring a fresh feel to your onboarding experience for new users. Zero touch, fully automated, compliance and productivity as soon as they hit the desktop.

Security hardening & Cyber Essentials

Use Jamf to enforce compliance

macOS hardened to recognised benchmarks and audit-ready for Cyber Essentials — FileVault and Gatekeeper baselines, compliance reporting, evidence your auditor accepts.

Licensing, renewals & environment review

Use your consult hours as you need us

Jamf licensing, procurement and true-ups handled by an Elite Partner, alongside a senior review of what’s working, what’s drifting and what to fix first.

…and configuration refreshes, AI governance, escalations, architecture reviews — if it’s Apple or Jamf, hours cover it.

Jamf as code

Your Jamf environment, managed as code

Manage Jamf configuration as version-controlled Terraform — policies, profiles and scoping live in code, peer-reviewed and repeatable, with no more click-ops drift.

It’s a rapidly evolving piece of the Jamf platform, and something that can provide the biggest wins for IT teams looking for platform compliance and hardening. Every change reviewed, every rollback trivial, and an environment your whole team can read.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do we need to be running Jamf already?
No. Migrations from another MDM and greenfield Jamf builds are core work for us. If you are still weighing up whether Jamf is the right fit at all, that is a good first conversation to have.
Can you work alongside our existing MSP?
Yes. We regularly slot in as the Apple specialists behind a generalist MSP or an internal team. We agree who owns what up front, so there is no overlap and nothing falls between the gaps.
How do blocks of hours work?
We agree the scope of work, you buy a block of time, and we track and report usage transparently as we draw it down. When a block is running low we tell you before you top up — never after.
What kind of projects fit a contract engagement?
Anything with a defined shape and a clear finish: an MDM migration, a Platform SSO rollout, a hardening programme or a Jamf-as-code build. You get a named consultant and agreed outcomes from day one.
Can you handle our Jamf licensing and renewals?
Yes. As a Jamf Elite Partner we handle licensing, procurement, renewals and true-ups — and make sure you are paying for what you actually need, across the whole Jamf product family. Licensing is also a standalone Dare offering in its own right — you do not need consultancy hours to buy or renew through us.
Can you get us ready for Cyber Essentials?
Yes. We harden your Apple estate to recognised benchmarks and get you audit-ready — from baseline security controls through to the compliance reporting your assessor wants to see.
