Taktikal is an Iceland-based technology company specialising in trusted digital journeys. Their goal is to enable organisations of all sizes to simplify their digital processes and build trusted relationships.
Taktikal’s core solution is an easy to use no-code builder that organisations can use to launch secure digital flows in minutes and adjust at any time.
The company’s platform provides tools for e-signatures, identity verification, document workflows, and secure communications, enabling a wide array of industries, to transform their digital operations.
The Challenge
As a fully Mac-based organisation, Taktikal placed a strong emphasis on maintaining Apple device security, ensuring that all Macs were fully updated and protected against malicious software, malware, and phishing attempts. This required an industry leading Apple management solution to keep devices secure, compliant with the best protections and deliver a class leading user experience.
In addition to device security, the company’s global expansion also brought a need for a zero touch onboarding requirement for new employees in various locations. This would need to allow users to securely access company systems, applications and tools right from the start.
A ZTNA solution was also an important feature to add to Taktikal’s digital security setup, providing an extra layer of protection against unauthorised access and to enable secure connectivity for remotely.
The Solution
After discussing the project with Jón, co-founder, and the team throughout the initial consultation process, Jamf Business Plan was identified to be able to fulfil those requirements.
Business Plan licensing provided the full, comprehensive solution of all Jamf products, and enabled multiple devices per user, to help retain the necessary ISO 27001 compliance across the organisation.
To deliver the project, Taktikal enlisted DARE’s Business Onboarding service, where certified engineers were able to fully configure the Jamf products successfully, all to the high security standards and compliance demands required.
With Jamf Protect, the company now benefits from real-time threat detection built for macOS, alongside web filtering to guard against online threats to users including phishing attacks across devices.
Jamf’s zero-touch capabilities through Connect, has streamlined onboarding by allowing new employees to set up their devices with a single sign-on, enabling them to deploy the necessary apps and security settings, no matter where they are in the world. Additionally, Jamf secures the access management, ensuring only encrypted and trusted traffic from authorised users, bolstering overall network and data security.
Together, with Jamf and DARE professional services, Taktikal has been able to confidently deploy a secure set-up for its Mac users, and provide full protection across its operations. This has allowed the company to continue to grow its online users, keep company data secure and have the important safeguards in place it needs to keep doing business using Apple.
